Arrivals of the 1950s

As the 1950s started large corporations dominated Canadian society as never before. The war had change manufacturing and the redevelopment of Europe and the building of North America created huge expansion pressures across the country. Rural electrification, more telephone systems, more roads and housing for the baby boom after the war really drove growth in the country. New arrivals to Elk Point joined the older families as a new village and rural society changed.
