ROBERT BROOKS
Robert Brooks came to Canada from Tennessee. He homesteaded S.W. l-57-6-W4. In 1917 he and Alice Babcock were married and lived on that quarter. Their only child was Marie.
Before she became school age, they moved from this community west to the Earle place, which they later bought and farmed, one half mile south of the road west toward Armistice. Marie went to school in Elk Point until she graduated, when she went to Vancouver. In 1944 Bob died and Alice went to make her home with Marie
