The Trail's early years were in a drought but in 2017 that all changed. There was water everywhere and it took a toll on the trail.
East of Edwardville a culvert completely washed out
Flooing across the trail north of the Beaver River Trestle
Half a mile east of Roberge Road water washed across the trail all summer
It was kind of scary going through the water at times
Three feet of water covered the trail in sports
Along the river from Lindbergh to Heinsburg there were more issues
Even where culverts were far down under the trail safety problems could still occur
Even some staging areas were inaccessible
