2004 Operating IHT
In 2004 work continued to progress on the seven major staging area with a lot of consultation to keep it all on track. Most large and small signage was competed. We worked with the MD of Bonnyville to solve some adjacent landowner concerns about a berm near Moose Lake. The fall election brought new counsellors to the table so a fall tour of the trail was done just before snowfall. The Iron Horse Trail Product Club did a AG Tourism Conference that was part of the deliverables for our Canadian Tourism Comission grant. We did a presentation to the NADC asking for their support for future development.
Our trail group recieved numerous awards in the late fall: NE Municorr won the Alberta Pride Alto Award, Robert Bouchard was named Alberta Trailnet's Trail Blazer of the Year and Marvin Bjornstad recieved a Recreation Volunteer Award.
