With 2012 off to a warmer-than-usual start, it’s time to take a look back at the people and events that hit the headlines of the Elk Point Review in 2011.

The year wrapped up with a plump porker getting a kiss from Heinsburg Community School principal Darcy Younghans, crime statistics decreasing significantly from last year, seven churches taking part in the interfaith cantata, Elk Point schools gathering up a truckload of groceries for Santa's Anonymous hampers, churches and Community Choir holding concerts, Elk Point Elementary School's capacity-crowd concerts and F. G. Miller’s 2012 grad class and staff cooking a feast for schoolmates and special guests.
