Sept 28 1964 Dr Wiegerinck asked that the Centennial Grant be used toward a new Library
May 31 1965 A rough sketch of the proposed library was presented by Mr Stepa. The Secretary was advised to get in touch with an architech to find out the cost of designing a 1500 sq ft building
June 15 1965 Donald Ross presented a sketch for a new library. It was decided to incorporate a town office in the same building, the cost to be $7 to $10 per sq ft Mr Ross fess was to be $500 plus $50 for special trips
Dec 30 1965 Valere Construction awarded a contract for $36700 for a library and town office as a Centennial Project
Jul-66 Library moved into new Centennial Building
Sept 26 1966 Moved to give $100 to the Centennial Committee for expenses and more as required
Nov 28 1966 Mr Barwick gave a report on the progress mde by the Centennial Committee on the Centennial Celebration on May 31 when the Voyageur Canues were to arrive at Elk Point
Feb 13 1967 Little canoes at $6.50 a dozen were ordered for Centennial Day as souvenirs for the Voyageurs as not enough beaded leather ties could be obtained from Indians
April 24 1967 A Centennial Plaque is to be placed in the library
May 31 1967 Centennial Celebration and Canoe Pagent in Elk Point - a great day
July 10 1967 The Confederation Caravan is to come to Elk Point. It will show various scenes in Canadian History
Aug 14 1967 Mr Barwick, the Centennial Coordiator, is to be paid $300 and is commended for his work. 
Oct 14 1967 Official openning of the Centennial Building as part of the program Florence Poitras will read her winning Centennial Essay. 
Nov 13 1967 Mayor Habiak has been invited to a Centennial Banquet in Edmonton on Nov 17 where there is to be a film showing the Voyageur Canoe Pagent
Feb 26 1968 Centennial Committee complimented for its efforts also the Band and Majorettes
