This society is interested in establishing a home care program that would greatly benefit the people of Elk Point and area. Patients desiring this service would leave hospital a few days earlier than usual, and would be visited by a registered nurse on a daily basis, who would carry on with procedures that the patient was accustomed to in hospital.

The cost of this service is $7.50 per visit, all of which can be recovered through Blue Cross.

Nurses participating in this program include Lorraine Scott and Janet Christenson, Bonnyville; Connie Golberg, Grande Centre; Margaret McCormack, Clandonald; Eve Boyd and Elna Eidsvik, Heinsburg and Lea Park; Debbie Hanson, Dewberry; and Lil Demchuk, Elk Point.

The board of directors include Dr. Miller, Dr. Bauld, Don Robertson and Audrey Wilmer
