2011 10 18 Chilly Start for Iron Horse Marathon
Victor Stepa (329-1) and his-fellow Iron Horse Marathon competitors headed westward under threatening skies in Saturday's early morning chill on the first leg of the inaugural 42-km run. The marathon, which started and ended at Elk Point's staging area, could be run either solo or as a relay, with the Lloyd Tri Club posting the winning time of 3:37. The marathon was a new feature of the Iron Horse Ultra 100-km and 100-mile runs, both originating in St. Paul.
