RRTS accepting fundraising donations in Smoky Lake 2013

Design work on the Cold Lake Trestle was proceeding and fundraising plan was under discussion. RRTS lead these efforts as they were a non-profit organization and could accept donations which then went to NE Municorr which lead the design process. The Aviva Insurance competition helped raise awareness of the Cold Lake Trestle rebuild.

Alberta Trailnet held their AGM in St Paul at the beginning of June and we helped them with tours and other events as part of that event. This was highlighted by Jerry Bidulock being awarded the Trailblazer of the Year and Ray Danyluk being presented with the Trail Builder Award.

Municipal Maintenance funding was put in place for a 3-year period. The Danyluk Hill, in eastern Smoky Lake County, was rebuilt as part of a construction company donation when the waterline was put in.

Beaver River Trestle was Stabalized.  Crusher fines were used in some water pipeline areas to build a better base on the trail.

Picnic tables were repaired where possible and a replacement plan was started.
