LIONS CLUB

The Elk Point and District Lions Club continued its support of community projects in 1977, both large and small.
Before the club recessed for July and August, a motion to commit $20,000.00 in two years for artificial ice in the A. G. Ross Agricenter was made. It was then decided. to raffle a small car to raise monies to meet this large committment.
Another motion pledged support to the Annual Canoe Pageant to be held beginning in 1978.
Our meeting place was changed from the Hotel Cafe to the F. 6. Miller High School Home Economics room to facilitate a growth in membership to thirty-seven.
