Mark Hellquist found this hunting story, published in Camp and Trail (a Columbus Ohio Weekly paper) in 1910. It is about a trip from the USA to Vermilion AB and then up to Long Lake AB (now Kehewin Lake) just north of Elk Point. The trip was for a few weeks a few years before 1910. It gives an interesting look at the local landscape a few years after the birth of the province and before any community had started in the Elk Point area.
Hopkins Ferry started in 1907, Hopkin Post Office in 1908 and a Elk Point Post office in 1909.
