ELK POINT CO-OP STORE 1977

1977 has been a very rewarding year for the Co-op store in Elk Point. This store, which is part of the St. Paul and District Ass'n Ltd., hit an all time high in sales which gave us great satisfaction considering the selling area we have.
We were very pleased to hear early in the year of the news of a 9100 square foot store in the planning stages which became a reality in August when construction commenced. Hopefully the doors will open for business in the early part of May, 1978. It will consist of a fully modern grocery department with integrated hardware throughout the store. Our produce and meat departments will boast today's modern equipment to enable us to guarantee our valued customers produce freshness and satisfaction.
Our staff consists of eleven full time and part time personnel who are Wayne Shatford, manager; Allen Demchuk, Meat Supervisor; 6eorge Jacobson, Produce Manager; Onufer Melnyk, Foods; Lois Yaremkewich, Foods; Marlene Zapesocki, Foods; Donna Aarbo, Meat; Jeanine Boratynec, Foods; Jo Anne Ference, Foods; Joy Evans, Foods; and a new addition, Terry Gusnowski.
We wish at this time to thank the people of Elk Point and surrounding area for their participation in making this a viable business
