LAKELAND COLLEGE
by Wayne Shillington
Lakeland College works with the Elk Point and District Further Education Council to provide educational opportunities for adults in the area. During 1977 a variety of courses were offered in Elk Point by the college. Courses in log cabin construction, landscaping, and cross-country skiing were offered during the first half of the year. In the fall a business administration course was offered. Several other courses were attempted unsuccessfully.
The role of the college in this community has continued to grow over the past year and expectations for 1978 are quite high.
